A Certified B Corporation®
So, our road to B Corp has finally ended, and in late November we became a Certified B Corporation®. It’s taken almost 2 years for us to get here, and we couldn’t be more proud of everyone's input to make this happen.
Here’s a quick summary of what this means and how it will affect our business and our approach.
If you’re not too sure what B Corp is, then don’t worry, you’re not alone. In short, B Corporation represents a global movement of people using business as a force for good. B Corps meet higher standards of social and environmental impact, transparency, and accountability to stakeholders, rather than just shareholders. If you’d like to find out more, there’s a lot of information on the B Corp site, right here.
Now, if you think the work is done, and we can now sit back and relax, then you’re wrong. This is only just the beginning of a whole series of plans we have to further support the B Corp movement.
As a company, we have a duty to take responsibility for our own actions. This means all stakeholders of the company have to abide by our Code of Ethics, Employee Handbook, Environmental Policy, Mission Statement and a series of KPIs relating to our new strategy.
Going forwards, we are also introducing our own Method of Change in our project process. This is a focussed system aimed at helping businesses understand their issues around Sustainability, and help them create a simple and effective pathway to change. You can read more about our Method of Change here.
We want this to increase our clients' awareness around sustainability, and prompt them to create change within their own businesses.
Whether that means reinventing their business models, establishing more effective supply chains, or simply reflecting on material usage, we’ll be there to help and support them.
We really couldn't be happier, and look forward to seeing all the positive change we can make together.
But first, we're off to the Pub on the Park for a celebration pint!
