Big food markets that offer keen foodies a multitude of great quality street food have become very popular in the last few years. The owners of succesful London Chinese restaurants, Royal China had aquired a large site in Colindale with the view of creating a large scale, quality, Asian-focussed hawker market.

We worked closely with the owners and architects Stiff + Trevillion to create a brand that would have impact and style. We suggested the name Bang Bang, and used the initials to design a unique word mark inspired by Asian architecture and patterning. The word mark itself is used as a primary repeat pattern throughout the applications and interiors.

The brand's visual style form a starting point for all the interior design and wayfinding system. The identity flows from the external singage, through all of the marketing and digital presence.

The site opened to some great reviews and plans for a second Bang Bang are under way...
